Prairie Dogs are always so very cool to watch, especially a large colony or "Prairie Dog Town" as they are better known as. They are very observant animals, and always, always vigilant for any danger if which may be near.
A large Buck on the lookout for some Doe's to mate with.
Bobcats are like those mythical creatures you only hear about in the storybooks. They are so elusive, that I have only come across two in a the wild over a timespan of 25 years and hundreds of miles of hiking. This little fellow was seen way up high in the treetops at the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge. It had just snowed the night before and the temperature was hovering around the freezing mark, but the sun was shining, and my guess is that he was simply trying to get warm. Regardless, I was pleased to meet his aquaintence, if only for a brief time.
